You’ll never know what’s going to happen to you while on the road. But there’s something you can do, however, to deal with it. You just have to have the right tools to get you going again. These tools are essential and can be kept without causing any trouble in your car’s trunk.

1. Wrenches. Wrenches are hand tools that are used to twist or hold a bolt or a nut. They should come in handy for you as they come in different sizes, depending on what kind of vehicle you have. It is good to buy combination wrenches but the most competent kind would be the type that has an open end and box on the other side. Just ensure that both ends have equal sizes. It is important to take note that in most instances, wrenches with 6-points are not that useful compared to wrenches with 12-points.

2. Hammer. This is a tool you cannot do without. It is advisable to get hammers with a 12-ounce ball peen and one with 14-ounce ball peen as well. But if your toolbox still has room for one more, add in the 16-ounce one.

3. Flashlight. This is definitely a must because the sun is not always there to give you light. Tools are not going to be of much help if you’re not seeing what you’re making them do.

4. Pry bar. The recommended sizes to get for pry bars would be 12 and 24 inch ones. It’s true that some tools can substitute pry bars but mind you, most of them are not made to pry off things.

5. Bottle Jack. Cars may already come with jacks but a bottle jack will make things so much easier for you. It will prove useful too in pushing away a fender from the car’s wheel in instances when you’ve hit something.

6. Screwdrivers. What could be more useful than Phillips screwdriver #2? You must also have straight blade ones both large and small.

7. Sockets and Ratchet. A good ratchet would be the 3/8" drive one. Keep a socket handy especially during times when a wrench cannot do so. The socket will help loosen a fastener and at the same time tighten it.

8. Pliers. For pliers, regular ones will do. However, you must also have a set of Channel Locks as well as a set of vise grips both large and small. Don’t forget needle nose pliers, too.

9. Jumper Cables. You’ll never know when your battery is going to turn out dead. Keep jumper cables handy. Finding someone who’s willing to help you give a jump doesn’t necessarily mean they have jumper cables with them.

10. Work gloves. This is always a must to protect your hands in fixing things up.

If you have never lived in a cold climate, you probably haven’t had to deal with driving and handling a car in snowy conditions. There is a lot of preparation that needs to be done before you can drive safely through the winter. Just as you change your wardrobe for winter, your car needs a winter wardrobe. Use the following steps to help ensure your car operates safely during the winter.

Preparing your car for winter breaks down into two categories: regular car maintenance and specialty items to deal with inclement weather. Regular car maintenance includes things that you do to your car year round. You need to make sure that these maintenance tasks get done before the weather starts to change so you can make sure that your car is running at its optimum level.

Before the winter starts, you should get your car’s routine maintenance up to date. Getting your oil changed and your brakes fixed are essential in preparing your car for winter. Roads can be dangerous after the first snowfall. If you opt to go for snow tires, you should get them installed several weeks before winter hits. Snow tires aren’t always necessary but they are a good idea if you are going to be driving in a place that experiences a lot of snowfall. Even if you don’t need snow tires, check to make sure that your tires are in good enough shape to handle the wintry conditions.

Test out your windshield wipers before the first rain or snowfall. Be sure the wipers don’t just smear water across your windshield. Windshield wipers that work improperly can severely reduce your visibility and put you at risk for getting into an accident. Replace your windshield wipers and take a look at the special winter windshield wipers that are available on the market today. If you live in an area where you frequently experience snowfall, this may be a good option. While you’re at it, make sure that your windshield wiper fluid container is filled, and put an extra gallon on fluid in your trunk.

The next part of car preparation is gathering together the supplies that you’ll need to get your car running when the weather is bad. These supplies should be kept in two spaces: your garage and in your car. For your garage, you’ll need a shovel, a small broom and some de-icing spray. These are necessary in order to free your car from any heavy snowfall that occurred the night before. You may also find an ice scraper handy.

For your car, you should carry an additional ice scraper and some de-icing spray to use if you have to park outside during work hours. These items should be kept with a winter emergency kit that is stored in the trunk of your car. In addition to the scraper and spray, you should store a blanket, some dry snacks, first-aid supplies and bottled water. If you’re ever stuck in a snowstorm, these items will help you survive.

While driving during the wintertime certainly isn’t something that you should worry about, you should take the steps necessary to prepare your car for the coming months. Get your car tuned up and stocked with emergency supplies and you’ll be ready to take what ever the winter weather throws your way.

Driving a car is something that can be quite exhilarating, as it makes the person feel free, as if they can go anywhere that their hearts desire. With the unveiling of the new hybrid vehicles, there is an alternative means to get to a destination. These vehicles are some of the best for the money, while keeping things such as the environment and gas mileage in mind. They are many other advantages of driving a hybrid car, even over these huge ones that make many people convert; even if it’s just for the fact that they are cheaper when it comes to insurance.

The Environment
The environment is something to take into account when purchasing a car in many people’s minds, as they are mindful of the depletion of the earth’s ‘greenhouse’ gases. By using clean energy of the electric motor, they emit less energy into the ozone layer. Not only is this better for the environment, the hybrid end up performing better gas mileage wise than the standard vehicle. They are also just as strong power wise as the traditional cars that run on fossil fuels with the advancement of technology in the field of hybrid cars.

The Technological and Monetary Benefits
The hybrid car, dubbed the ‘car of the era’, is definitely one that is impressive. Not only do they perform just as well as the standard vehicle, they can really save people money. They get better mileage than your average car, with the implementation of electricity in their composition. With the Regenerative Braking technology, the batteries of these hybrid vehicles do not have to be charged by an external source. The hybrid car itself actually has tax benefits, which is something somewhat unheard of in the car industry, as governments implore people to make the switch over to protect our environment. On that note, there is also a nice buyer’s incentive provided to those who drive these green vehicles.

In the grand scheme, the hybrid vehicle is something that is amazing because of its overall good it can do for the environment and governments alike. Considering the dependency on fossil fuels and the rising gas prices, if everyone owned a hybrid vehicle the price of crude oil will fall, resulting in a world-wide sigh of relief for everyone dependant on it.

The future for the hybrid vehicle is a bright one, indeed. As the technology advances and the price of these vehicles lowers, a hybrid vehicle will soon be commonplace, and everyone will see the amazing advantages to driving a hybrid vehicle. With the incentives and specials that these cars have, one will find it amazing how people would consider ever driving a car that runs solely on fossil fuel alone. For those who are skeptical about the hybrid vehicle, after one drive of the vehicle they will see that there are hardly any differences between that and the standard vehicle. And if they are available to help out the environment and global economy, they are differently worth a shot.

With banks refusing to give loans and money getting tight everywhere, used cars are becoming a hot item. This has driven down the prices of new cars, and increased the cost of used ones, creating an ideal situation for people looking to sell their vehicles and replace them with something else. Before picking out the next one to sit in your driveway, however, you must first get rid of your existing vehicle. In this market, it shouldn’t be a problem getting a good price for it, but these tips will further help to ensure you’re transaction is successful one.

Set A Smart Price
Under pricing and over pricing are all too common in today’s market. When it comes time for you to sell, look at what other, similar used cars are going for. Then, determine its market value and adjust the price for mileage, damage and what level of option or trim it has. When setting a price, be sure to consider the market, too – convertibles don’t sell as well in Alaska as they do in California!

Market It Like The Pros
When you advertise, it is important to create visible ‘for sale’ signs. Also consider using local media such as classifieds, and anywhere else you can advertise used cars. Don’t just list the vehicle, however. Be a bit of an advertising buff and use the right lingo to get attention and get it sold. ‘Firm’ means you will only accept the asking price while ‘or best offer (OBO)’ means you’ll accept a lower amount. ‘Asking price’ means you might accept a lower offer.

Don’t be afraid to use ‘button’ words in your sales copy. Words like clean, excellent condition, new, and other terms will promote your vehicle and improve your chances at getting multiple offers. Finally, ads with pictures perform better than those without, so be sure to include a photograph in flyers and advertising materials.

Make The Vehicle Worth The Asking Price
It is one thing to ask for a specific price, but it is something very different to sell it at that. One of the best ways to get what the vehicle is worth is to clean and shine it up. It might take an afternoon of detailing to get it up to snuff, but the extra money you receive when the papers are signed will be well worth it. Also, basing the sale of a vehicle on having repairs done is just asking for trouble. Therefore, before you have someone come to look at it, have a mechanic go through it and make any necessary repairs.

Selling Used Cars Is All Show
Sellers often have no trouble generating interest in their vehicle, but many sellers make a mistake when showing the vehicle, though. Keep in mind most people will base everything on first impressions. Therefore, make sure you and your yard is clean to give off a pleasant appearance.

Any smart buyer will ask you about previous damage and may ask to have the vehicle inspected. Now, if you have the explanation of what repairs have been done to the car, you can offer them this and may be able to avoid the situation. If not, it’s not a big problem.

Selling used cars in today’s market isn’t difficult, but if you are going to make sure you get every dime you can, you need to be smart about it. Don’t just list your vehicle, but take the necessary step to make sure your car looks like a better deal in comparison to all the other used cars on the market.

Moving overseas is certainly quite a bit more complicated than moving to another city. Unless you are going to sell your car and buy a new one at your destination, you are going to have to employ a car shipping service. Many people are unsure if it is worthwhile to have their car transported when staying overseas for a while.

Understandably, it seems like a complicated process. However, with the help of a full service auto transport service, the process is fairly simple and stress-free. If you’ve never shipped a car overseas before, this article will provide an overview about your car’s upcoming journey.

Types of Overseas Transports

The first leg of your car’s journey is the trip from your home to the port. If the port is close you can drive it yourself. If it is farther away, you will probably have the auto transport company handle that part of the journey as well.

Once your car arrives at the dock it will be shipped one of three ways: RORO (Roll On Roll Off), in a 20-foot container, or in a 40-foot container.

Roll On Roll Off is commonly used for short trips. For example, it is the most common way that cars are shipped to Hawaii or Puerto Rico. The ship is basically a large car ferry. Your vehicle is driven aboard and parked along with many other vehicles. Upon arrival, it is driven out onto the dock. RORO service is usually cheaper than container shipping. However it is also less safe and your vehicle is more likely to be damaged. This shipping method covers the car itself. There is no provision for shipping any personal belongings.

A 20-foot shipping container is a safer method of auto transport. The car is loaded into a standard shipping container, secured so it doesn’t move during the trip, then the container is brought aboard the ship. Most of the time these smaller containers will fit only the car itself. If there is room in the container some shippers will allow you to ship personal belongings as well.

The best solution for shipping both your vehicle and household items is a 40-foot shipping container. The other items are loaded in first then a wooden bulkhead is placed in the container to separate these items from the car. The vehicle is driven into the container and secured as above. This shipping method is safer for both the car and your other belongings but is likely to be the most expensive shipping method.

Other Details of Overseas Auto Transport

Overseas transport is going to be more expensive than typical ground car shipping. Shipping will incur port fees at the destination. If shipping to another country, you will have to pay that country’s tariffs. Finally, your insurance will almost certainly not cover your vehicle during the trip. You will need to purchase maritime insurance which generally costs 1%-3% of the price of the vehicle.

International shipping has stricter documentation requirements. You will need the original title to the vehicle and may need other documentation depending on the destination. An experienced international auto transport company will be able to help you with the details so that you can get everything prepared before your move.

If you’re from Hampshire and you don’t have any car insurance coverage, you better be on the look out for the police, because they will seize your vehicle.

Since it started three years ago, the authorities have confiscated 10,000 vehicles whose owners never even bothered to cover them for car insurance. This was in due part to a campaign that tackles illegal motoring.

Little white lies were supposed to be harmless until you were found out. However, what if there were 11 million white lies done each day? That’s the number of car drivers who will not tell the truth (read: lie) to avoid having their claims rejected.

The survey done by http://moneysupermarket.com further details it. According to the survey, the car owners found it more important not jeopardizing their car insurance rather than being honest with their circumstances.

There are car insurance offered online with the benefits of saving your effort and time. First thing you have to do is to make a list of important and needed details about your car such as your license number, car’s model, car’s features, driving history, some personal information and so on. Use the search engine that will guide you in finding related websites, just by typing in keywords. See if the companies have good records, ratings and you are familiar with it. After choosing the insurance company, decide for the type of coverage and policies you want, then get a free quote (depending on the website). Then compare the policies you have gathered from the websites you visited then select the one that best suits your needs.

There are certain types of car that has a high rate so if you want a lower premium, better purchase a car with a lower rating category. Make sure to have safety features and more of them in your car, and with that try also to have a good driving record and only lesser claims. Also have a good credit history, pay in time so that the security agency is at ease towards you. Discounts are common so ask your agent about it, if the insurance company cannot give you discounts, shop around. But if you have a good record with the payment terms, clean driving record and you have security features in your car, you are certainly a good candidate for auto insurance discounts.

The new Kia Rio5 is the hatchback version of the sporty Kia Rio line. This car offers those who would rather have a wagon/hatchback style the option to get a lower priced version among the top of the line SX models. The Kia Rio5 has a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine, and 5-speed manual standard transmission that performs quiet and smooth gear changes.

This is a very practical hatchback with adequate acceleration. It also has exceptional gas mileage, with an EPA estimate of 32 mpg for highway driving and 27 mpg for city driving. Kia Rio5’s with automatic transmission can expect 35 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city. Other features include keyless entry, 15-inch wheels, and an additional set of speakers for the audio system.

Whether you possess auto body shop, car dealership, fast lube station, or else rental car business, by using the auto lifts can make all types of car & truck repairs simpler and more competent. The vehicle repair businesses use auto lifts that are able to get more income per hour from every service station.

Space Savers

If the space is at premium in shop, or else if you want portability, then space saver or else scissors lift can be best option. These offer benefits of the expanded coverage & capability to work all over vehicle without any obstacles. They have got capacities of 14,000 lbs. as well as are perfect for brake, exhaust, transmission, strut, lube, & alignment service.

You will as well need to give some measurements. Size of your bay –width and height – is a limiting issue, so calculate carefully. You will as well have to know thickness of the concrete floor, all along with pounds for every square inch rating it may support. If you do not know, dealer must help you.

All these lifts will give safe way to lift one’s auto for admission to the car’s undercarriage for spread and also the oil work. The Automotive lifts also give bigger storage room, by permitting customer to lift car out of the way and opening floor space of the garage. Lesser used cars and box storage is been placed on the lift and raised from way. Next, you can park your car under lifted platform.

Automotive lifts are very good for the people who collect cars. Typical garage can only house two cars, but with use of lift, four cars are capably parked.

Features To Consider for Automotive Lifts

For serious garages & commercial processes, there are durable automotive lifts accessible. Standard tools generally involve one, two, and four post lifts. Final option involves balance of the lift ability; lift stability, & available extra space for lift equipment. All of these heavier lifts generally require extra maintenance. Industrial nature of auto lifts states that their preservation is left to experts if user has got any hesitation about being capable to work equipment when maintaining designed security features.

The one post lifts are most inexpensive in terms of the space. There are two types of one post lifts one is centered lifts and other is offset lift. The entered one post lifts have lot more power than the offset post lifts. The offset lifts give space for vehicle to get placed under the lifted object, giving space economy. The four post models as well allow for same room saving abilities as single post model, however they do need more space & power. Upside to four-post lift is really increased power output. Two post model is the balance between two versions.

The auto lifts give home user complete access to the vehicle from all the sides. This permits you to carry out maintenance & repairs on the vehicle from comfort of the home, saving you time & money.

One of the must-drive classic GTs, by far, is the Lamborghini 400 GT. It is one the first few car models ever released by the renowned Italian truck manufacturer, Lamborghini. First introduced at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show, it was one of the first series of coupes produced by the company to rival the Ferraris and Maseratis. Only a few of this model was ever produced, which makes it one of the most sought-after exotic cars all over the world. With its sleek and elegant vintage look, excellent driving and road handling, and ultra-high performance, the Lamborghini 400 GT would sure be an exhilarating ride from Las Vegas to anywhere in the United States.

Compared to its predecessor, the 350 GT, 400 GT was built with a longer wheelbase, durable steel coachwork, with a modified look evident in its longer hood to accommodate the engine, a scaled back rear window, four circular headlights, and a slightly higher roof to provide more interior room.
Equipped with a 3929 cc 4.0 L engine it kicks off 320 bph at 6500 rpm with 276 lb-ft of torque at 4500rpm, making it one of the most desirable sports car of its time. The coupe had enough power to generate to almost 160 mph. Only twenty-three units of this coupe were produced from 1966 until 1967. Twenty units were steel bodied while three were bodied in Superleggera.

Another version of the 400 GT was also released. This two-door coupe was modified to not only accommodate two, but four passengers. It was dubbed as the 400 GT 2+2. However, there were very minor difference between the 400 GT and the 400 GT 2+2 engine-wise as well as in the overall structure. Two hundred twenty four units were produced during 1966 to 1968, including five right-hand drive units.

The production of these GTs were limited due to the fact that it was hand-built in the factory at Sant’Agata, Italy . Now, having one would surely be impressive. But if you are having difficulties finding one to purchase, then why don’t you rent one? There are practically car rentals anywhere in the world. Surely there’s bound to be several Lamborghini GTs available for you to drive. Now, just imagine cruising around Las Vegas or perhaps Paris in a classic Lamborghini GT. It would definitely make your visit to these popular places a remarkable one.

Moreover, with the growing car rental industry, it is now possible for almost anyone to drive their dream cars, albeit how short-lived, as well as make certain occasions in their lives extra special. Also, this industry makes it more convenient for people to travel from one place to another, in their own pace while on a vacation or on a business trip in a foreign land.

Ask anyone what a sports car is and they will probably invent an answer. Ask a dozen different people the same question and they will probably provide a dozen different answers. There are a variety of ways to define what constitutes an actual sports car. With no standardized definition available within the industry, the term "sports car" is without certain meaning.

Originally, it was easy to differentiate between a sports car and a regular production automobile. If a regular person could buy it, it wasn’t a sports car. Sports cars were toys for the extremely rich and automobile-obsessed. They are also used primarily in situations that represented a radical departure from conventional driving. Road races, rallies and other competitions were the home of the sports car as manufacturers and designers went head to head, testing their newest technological advances and inventive ideas.

These sports cars were almost always designed for a single driver and no additional passengers. Occasionally a "co-pilots" seat might have been added. The notion of a backseat made little sense considering the purposes for which the cars were being used. They tended to be extremely small and exceptionally faster than most regularly produced cars.

This historical moment gave birth to a notion of the sports car that survives today among many automotive enthusiasts. These traditionalists will consider a car a sports car only if it is a two-seater and designed for racing.

This perspective was antiquated somewhat by the post-war experience in the United States and elsewhere. Cars based upon the test car technologies began to make their way into the garages of the public. With a more mainstream audience, some changes were made to the traditional sports car, including the frequent addition of a small back seat.

As time passed, sports cars slowly grew and the technologies pioneered by sports cars found their way into vehicles, which were not undersized or built for racing.

In the 1960s, John Delorean decided to drop a large V8 into a Pontiac Tempest. His new invention, the GTO, ushered in the muscle car era. Purists might argue the American muscle cars were not sports cars, but simply cars making use of sports car refinements. The distinction however, began to become lost in regular conversation and "sports car" began to refer to any fast or high-performance vehicle.

The line becomes increasingly blurred with every year. Traditional sports cars are becoming increasingly rare as automakers recognize a need to maintain some level of functionality if they are to entice buyers. The innovations spurred by traditional sports cars are being adopted into vehicles of every size and shape. While traditional racing style sports cars are maintained in many product lines and though some boutique manufacturers still focus their efforts on small high-speed cars, it is impossible to ignore the "crossover" appeal of many traditional sports car features.

Some may say there are sports cars, sporty cars and sporting cars and that they are all different things. To the average person, however, they blend into one.

Which cars are sports cars? Today, it’s hard to tell. You can be a hardliner and say only the racing-based two-seaters qualify, or you can be liberal in your interpretation and proclaim all high-performance vehicles sports cars. Either way, you’d probably be right.

The Brookings Institution reports studies finding that 2 out of every 3 American households would save money if they switched to Pay As You Drive auto coverage, with an average savings of $270 per year. Pay As You Drive insurance, as its name suggests, is priced on the basis of the number of miles you drive. These plans give you a real reason to drive less and save more.

Anyone can consider switching to a Pay As You Drive insurance program, but these programs really benefit low income and low mileage drivers. Low income drivers tend to also be low mileage drivers because of the high costs associated with frequent driving. While the amount of miles driven doesn?t impact premiums under a more traditional insurance program, high mileage driving does require spending more money on gasoline and auto maintenance and repairs. There is also more wear and tear on your vehicle, which means vehicles will need to be replaced more frequently.

Another benefit of Pay As You Drive is fairness. Under traditional coverage, low-mileage drivers subsidize the high-mileage drivers who pay the same premiums, but, because of how much time they spend on the road, are more likely to be involved in crashes. This inequitable subsidy is removed under Pay As You Drive. Higher-mileage drivers pay higher premiums, and lower-mileage drivers pay less.

It’s true, of course, that not all low-mileage drivers and low-income drivers. People who live in very large cities often don’t drive cars, and many keep their cars in the garage for the simple reason that they care about the earth. Either way, the fewer miles people drive, the less they contribute to pollution and greenhouse gases. Any driver who feels he or she deserves some monetary recognition for being a friend of the earth should look into Pay As You Drive.

Drivers interested in saving money in a tight economy would also benefit from Pay As You Drive insurance. Since the insurance premium costs are based on the amount of miles driven, there is an incentive to drive fewer miles because that?s how you save money. Drivers who utilize Pay As You Drive insurance also spend less money on gas and auto maintenance due to their reduced driving. And don?t forget that the less you drive your vehicle, the longer you can keep it after you pay for it. Vehicles tend to last longer if we drive them less.

Almost any driver can benefit from Pay As You Drive. If you are interested in learning more about how these plans can save you money, help save the environment, and save your having to buy a new car, see a qualified insurance broker. Your insurance agent can answer your questions and create just the right plan to help you maintain the coverage you need and save hundreds of dollars each year.

People searching for a large selection in the luxury vehicle market can pick from various BMW Chicago dealers, offering new vehicles in addition to BMW certified used cars in the Chicago area. While the luxury vehicle car market may appear to have available a lot of choice, it also creates a very competitive field and typically service and customer satisfaction is a very big part of the difference between each dealer.

To find the best choice for a BMW in Chicago dealer, advertising through word-of-mouth is likely the most ideal source. The high quality craftsmanship that BMW has become renowned for will be present in all of their cars; therefore, the experience of the staff as well as customer satisfaction will probably be a key factor in which dealership to pick. Obviously, where the dealership is located can also be a key deciding factor in which BMW Chicago dealership you choose to visit.

If you are searching for a new car, going to more than one BMW Chicago dealer is likely to be an advantage. It’s likely you have a fairly good idea what you want in a new vehicle, the options, and colors and if you have done any type of vehicle research then you should have a fair idea of what you would efficient like to pay for it.

The majority of car dealers, and not just the ones limited to the BMW Chicago dealers, are looking for you to purchase your new vehicle the first time you walk on there car lot. The majority realize that if you leave their car lot without purchasing a new vehicle there is always some chance you will go on purchase one someplace else.

Do Not Be Misled By What The Dealer Wants To Sell

Unless your desire to spend your money on a new vehicle immediately is too great to resist, if the vehicle you are looking for is not sitting on a lot, then do not purchase one. The options may be close and the color may be close as well however if it is not exactly what you’re looking for, you can go to one of the various other BMW Chicago area dealers to locate exactly what you want.

Additionally, you are not restricted to searching all around the Windy City to locate vehicles as most of the BMW Chicago dealers have "virtual lots" showing their available stock of new cars.

By going on the Internet, you can visit many more BMW Chicago dealers in a lesser amount time, with much less frustration, than driving through the streets of the city. You can search for specific options you want online and when you locate exactly what you want, a simple phone call can let you know the current availability of that particular car. An additional advantage of window shopping on the Internet is the you can get it done 24 hours a day.

The Honda CRZ is an impressive car in the line-up of Honda, and the abbreviation CRZ, refers to Compact Renaissance Zero. It is a hybrid gasoline electric automobile, which was planned and developed for production by the Japanese automaker Honda. The body style of the car is hatchback. Initially CRZ was released as a concept car by CEO of Honda Takeo Fukui on 23rd of October, 2007 at the Tokyo Auto Show held in 2007. Later on, Fukui announced that a production model is under progress and the car is meant to be incredibly efficient, cheap and sporty. Honda CRZ was first produced in America at the Detroit North American International Auto Show held in 2008. It uses the Integrated Motor Assist System of Honda.

Two hybrid concept cars were introduced after the production of CRZ. One is Honda Remix, which was released at the Los Angeles Motor Show held in 2006. The other one was the Honda Small Hybrid Sports, which was released at the Geneva Motor Show held in 2007. The CRZ with four seats is considered as the spiritual heir to the second generation of Honda CRX in both design and name.

According to the reports of Automotive News Europe, Honda plans to flatten the production of CRZ in the year 2009 or 2010, initially in Europe, before elaborating the distribution and production to other nations of the world. The approximate cost of the Honda CRZ is 25,000 Euros and primarily pitched to the markets of Europe. The cost of the car will be 28,000 Euros along with higher trim models. Due to the importance of Honda CRZ on the continent of Europe, Mark Turner of Honda UK says that there will be a lot of influence by Europe on the final stage of design of the car.

Many reports made by Edmunds inside-line suggest that the arrival of Honda CRZ in North America will be after the launch of Honda Insight in the early times of 2009, which is a hybrid vehicle with five doors. Confirmation about the production of Honda CRZ was granted at the 2008 end of the year speech, which was given by Takeo Fukui. From the speech the production of CRZ will be started by the end of the year 2010. After the production of the car, it will become a model which provides a new value of the joy of driving, which can be provided only by a hybrid vehicle.

To all intents and purposes Formula One should be the most exciting sport on Earth. Just one look at the key ingredients that concoct this sport has me salivating with excitement. Firstly you have a global giant of the car world such as Honda breaking away from the hatchback market and producing nearly 1,000bhp in a car that weighs less than the original Mini. Secondly this outlandish performance is put in the trust of 20 of the most skilled drivers on the planet, who are only ever 2-3 seconds away from a high speed shunt. Thirdly, the races take place in the most exotic locations around the world, including: Bahrain, Monaco, Brazil, Australia and Singapore. Why oh why then is it so dull?

As a child I’d drag myself out of bed at 3am just to watch a Friday practice, before repeating the feat for Saturday qualifying and Sunday race day. I knew all the drivers statistics, why rear down force shouldn’t be an issue around the Hockenheim circuit and the past winners of the championship for 50 years. Much like a lot of the population I’ve tired in recent years of no overtaking, the same winners and consistent rule changes that try and fail to re-ignite excitement. Michael Schumacher was the greatest driver in the history of the sport but his constant winning also destroyed my love for it.

Then there was the tobacco sponsorship ban of a few years ago. Such a furore was made over banning the cancer-givers that the sport’s focus was lost. So what that I fancied a cigarette after watching ‘Marlboro’ on Schumacher’s car cross the winning line again, the advertising really wasn’t the root of the problem Formula One was suffering.

Not content with banning cigarettes, overtaking had to be improved (or at least occur once in a race). So cars were slowed down and made more difficult to drive. The result? The best drivers were still in the fastest cars and could cope far better than the weaker drivers already in cars to suit their abilities. The emergence of Lewis Hamilton last year has certainly gone some way to undo the monotony of the now-retired Schumacher era. Not only is he the first black driver in Formula One, but he’s super-quick – if a bit erratic.

Problem is that even if we overlook the unsolved overtaking problem, the President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Max Mosley’s sexual preferences, constant rule changes and Lewis’s efforts to promote the sport, there’s one massive problem that looms like an Eagle over its prey – global warming. With the Earth dying thanks to mankind’s greed it seems everyone from every walk of life is being encouraged to recycle, use less energy and travel using green transport. I guess doing four miles to the gallon at 200mph every other weekend, with hundreds of articulated lorries, private jets and motor homes in tow doesn’t quite reflect that Formula One is listening.

Well maybe Honda has got the hint with their ‘Earth’ car from the 2007 season. Sponsorship free and painted with the planet Earth on it, Honda sold every pixel on its livery with each donation helping towards climate change. This season’s car has continued with promoting the dangers of climate change in a more subtle manner and once again no sponsorship – wise when you consider the car was previously run by BAT – British American Tobacco.

Ok so you like Formula One, you love Honda, support Jenson Button (although you agree he’s not much cop) and therefore want to reflect this in your everyday life – whilst saving the planet. The answer is a simple three words – Honda Civic Hybrid. Yep Honda has produced an eco-friendly car that doesn’t need plugging into the wall, look stupid or cost the earth. The Honda Hybrid looks like any other saloon which when you consider the stylings of most electric or hybrid cars is a major plus point. Road Tax in the United Kingdom is stupidly expensive so having to fork out a mere £15 a year for driving the Civic Hybrid is probably all the encouragement you’ll need to buy one. The other justification for buying one is that other than great fuel economy thanks to the electric motor doing a fair proportion of the work, it’s actually a good drive. Yes it’s not a 0-60mph monster but every other aspect is as you’d expect from a car from the Civic range – it’s a main contender in the green race.

So there you have it, buy a Honda Hybrid and watch Formula One guilt free. Now if Jenson could just overtake someone…

Mark Creese talks about how Honda has offset some of their Formula 1 carbon emissions with vehicles such as the Civic Hybrid available at Bristol Honda

If you are looking out for buying cheaper cars then used cars can be a good option. The most important thing to consider while buying a used car is to see if the car is in a good condition. One of the best options for searching for used cars is the internet that helps you to understand how the market works with respect to used cars. Doing your homework will give you a better idea of the choices available among different cars. If you are looking for a particular model, you can save yourself from making many trips.

If you are determined in getting the best deals on used cars, you can get them at the car auctions. It works out well for both first time buyers and experienced owners who want to own a second car. Many car auctions take place in US and the procedure is simple. You just have to register your name at the auction centre. It is a good idea to attend a mock auction so that you gain experience especially if you are a first time bidder at a car auction.

Moreover, all the vehicles for sale have to undergo a scrutiny for their good quality and price by expert panels. Many car dealer associations provide a pricing guide to the customers that gives an unbiased valuation of the cars. You also get a wide choice of used cars to choose from various models that are on display here.

On the other hand, you can save a lot of money that goes into paying commission to the dealers. You can compare the prices with the ones offered by the local dealers here and get a fair price used car with a good quality. You can also get all the car accessories, which come with the used cars that include the stereo system, air conditioning, and all the standard basic features of a car.

There are other places too like the car supermarkets where you can get a good deal on the used cars. Here the cars on display are not more than five years old and they sell quickly so it is a good idea to reserve the car much before in advance. Chances are quite slim that you get the same car that you had seen during your last visit. The price for the cars is fixed whereas some may offer discount depending on the demand and supply of used cars in the market.

Whether you buy used car from an auction or a supermarket, make sure that you get a fair deal from the seller. Moreover, if you are planning to buy a used car from a private owner make sure to check if the car is in a good working condition. Have a peek inside the car and if necessary take a drive to see how the engine works. Be sure to check all the car registration papers to verify whether his claims are authentic. Only after you are satisfied with all the conditions, you should go in for a used car purchase.

You just brought that brand new bike home and as you’re standing there admiring not only the appearance of it, but the sweet deal you got on it as well, you noticed that something was missing. You are planning on taking an extensive two-week road trip within the next month, but there isn’t enough storage on that bike to accommodate your needs, especially with clothing, food, and gear.

Now you’re confronted with a dilemma. You’ve already decided that you want the matching saddle bags and trunk that are available through the manufacturer (which you should have done when you ordered the bike). However, it’s too late to do that now since they won’t arrive in time for that road trip. So you’ve decided to purchase some used motorcycle luggage for the time being.

You wouldn’t normally worry about buying new equipment, but you are concerned about buying it used. Whether you have decided on hard or soft luggage, purchasing the equipment used is a great way to save a few bucks and still be able to take off on that long awaited trip that is right around the corner. So, just to throw you a little advice, here are 5 tips to help you make that purchase.

Tip #1 – Educate yourself on the different types of motorcycle luggage. First of all, motorcycle luggage is classified in two categories — hard and soft. Then there are the subcategories — saddlebags, tank bags, and trunks. These come in a variety of materials, but leather is always recommended most.

Tip #2 – Don’t over-purchase the luggage. A lot of new riders (and even some experienced ones) make the mistake of buying more motorcycle luggage than what is necessary. Even when you are purchasing used luggage, this still equates to wasting your money. Additionally, there is the issue of overwhelming the bike with more than what is necessary, and this could result in the bike becoming unstable.

Tip #3 – If you want to find used motorcycle luggage, the first place to shop is at a used motorcycle dealer. Makes sense to me. There are used motorcycle parts shops that you can visit as well. Despite these venues, probably the easiest way to shop for used luggage is online, but there are no guarantees that the items will fit properly.

Tip #4 – Ride your bike on that shopping excursion. Common sense would tell you that this is the best way to ensure that what you purchase fits properly and therefore eliminates any guesswork, which I feel is like making assumptions. And we all know the outcome when we assume things, don’t we?

Tip #5 – Once you have found the motorcycle luggage you want, give it a thorough inspection. Four things to make sure of:

- all the locks lock properly and all the zippers zip easily (and stay zipped)

- if there is a lock (or locks), make sure you get the right key (or keys)

- there are no rips, tears, or unstitched seams in the material

- there are no problems with any of the brackets or clips closing when it comes to mounting, and securing the luggage

Finding cheap van insurance is not very hard because of the number of providers of it today. With the continuous demand of van insurance comes an increase in its providers. This again brings about competition among the providers, which produces cheap insurance rates but great service and coverage for those that require it. Because of this reason, van insurance now comes cheap and affordable to many of us. In order to find van insurance that is affordable and not too hard on the pocket, all that you may need to do is go online and the compare rates of insurance providers. You are sure to find one that offers a much lower quote than the others do.

However, finding the price of insurance is not the only thing that you should be focusing on. You should also prioritise the services that you are getting and the coverage the policy includes. Cheap van insurance will not be good for you if it lacks many things that need to be covered. This is just like wasting money, even if it is cheap, because you are not getting anything good from it. Therefore, it is of high importance that you make sure that all the things that you may need are included in the insurance policy you are looking at taking out.

For this, all that you have to do is inquire after the services offered and coverage they have for every policy they offer. Reading the provider’s policy before availing the affordable insurance will allow you to avail cheap van insurance that still meets all your needs. Coverage should include the vehicle, as well the driver of your company’s vans. This is needed to ensure that in case of an accident, you will not have to pay for unnecessary expenses on the hospitalisation of your employee and the repairs of your vehicles as well.

Another thing to ensure when looking for cheap van insurance is the credibility of the provider. There are fraudulent operators that will offer you deals that are too hard to resist because of the very low insurance quote when compared to the services offered. Usually, they require an initial deposit and will promise you that everything is taken care of until you meet with an accident and the insurance provider is nowhere to be found. In order to avoid this from happening, the best thing that you can do is go for the well known companies that have been in this kind of business for quite a while. Not only will you have an assurance that they are a legitimate provider, but also quality services will be offered to you.

With these, you can now start searching for the insurance provider that you will hire to ensure the safety of the future of your van business. If you think that purchasing insurance is not necessary, then you are greatly mistaken because you are putting your business at great risk. There is now cheap van insurance available, so the budget will not be a problem for you.

If you’re looking for a quote on Cheap Van Insurance visit Swinton.

Hybrid vehicle gives us the flexibility to choose different fuel options to propel our vehicle. We can employ a combination of different energy sources, such as- a rechargeable battery source and an internal combustion engine, or an air powered engine and gasoline/diesel based engines. The concept is being widely embraced, as it apparently helps in increasing mileage by substantially controlling the fuel consumption. It also provides you a backup, when the main fuel runs out. However, there are several pros and cons of the concept, and herein you will find a thorough analysis that will help you in deciding about getting a hybrid vehicle.

The cost advantage

Hybrid engines will help you in countering the soaring gas prices, in present scenario. You can always switch to a more cost-effective option while driving. For instance, if you have both the gasoline, and battery option available, you can always opt for the rechargeable battery whenever required; however, frequent switching must be avoided, as it may hamper your engine’s performance significantly. It is found to be good proposition for several luxury cars, as it can remarkably save up to 30% on fuel. With fuel prices increasing at appreciable rate, going for a hybrid does makes sense if you need to commute long distances.

The positive environmental effect

In addition to all these monetary benefits of hybrid engines, these are also found to be eco-friendly. These engines provide higher fuel economies with reduced transmissions. This is primarily due to its ability of utilizing the energy wasted during accelerating and braking, or other mechanisms. These have high battery storage capacity, which helps in recapturing and reusing the energy. These hybrid engines further improve the mileage by improving the “aerodynamics” of the vehicle. Apparently, these engines exude tremendous potential in fighting against Global Warming, by significantly cutting the CO2 emissions to a great extent. Furthermore, these engines also reduce the noise emissions remarkably, especially at lower speeds. However, all these features are operative in city traffic situations, as the idling and stopping time is more in city traffic, and the benefits of fuel mileage depends upon the reutilization of energy wasted during different processes.

Some points to ponder

However, there is a long debate over the environmental viability of the hybrid engines. On the one hand, it apparently helps in checking the emission levels, whereas on the other hand, number scientists have purported that the battery used in these cars contains- Nickel metal hydride and Lithium ion, which are extremely harmful for human body. Although, these substances are said to be less toxic than the conventional car batteries, these substances can create severe health issues to people. Nickel based substances are potential carcinogens, and can cause a variety of ailments, including, micropthalmia, hemorrhage, etc. Scientists are pooling their best efforts to help us reaping the fruits of hybrid engine, without compromising with our environment.

Taking all these points into account, we reckon that the hybrid technology has more advantages than shortcomings. A one time investment will help you saving a lot over fuel expenses. However, the concept is yet to find application in SUVs and heavy duty vehicle, and the market is still skeptic about employing the concept in heavy vehicles.

Receiving damage to a car that you have rented can be a very stressful experience. Those who do not have the appropriate collision and liability insurance can find themselves in the middle of a serious financial crisis. When settling rental car damages, there are a number of considerations that one should be aware of to ensure a trouble free resolution.

When you rent a car, you will usually have insurance through your own car insurance policy, or insurance that is available through your credit card, or you will have obtained insurance through the car rental company. It is important to be aware of the limitations that may be attached to a credit card’s car rental insurance policy. As well, some rental car insurance policies will include comprehensive coverage, but there may be limits imposed on what and how much they will cover.

The process of submitting a claim requires completing a number of actions as outlined in your insurance policy. The process can vary, but generally, you need to do the following:

1. If your insurance is provided either by your credit card company, rental car insurance company, or your own car insurance company, you will have to contact them directly.

2. Each company will have their own form that you will have to fill out. You will have to send the form and all appropriate documents to the company. Some insurance companies have online forms that can be downloaded and filled out.

3. To claim for loss or damages to the rental car, you will need to provide the following:

- Proof of the rental agreement. (submitting a copy)
- Rental car inspection report prior to renting the car. This includes the walk around report that the car rental companies use to identify any scratches, dents, and other damages before you rented the car.
- A copy of the police report
- A copy of the damage inspection after the car was returned to the rental company
- A copy of the repair invoice or damage estimate from the rental agency. It will include an itemized repair list
- A receipt for repairs

4. To pursue your claim for losses resulting from rental car damage, you will be provided with a contact mailing address where you mail your claim. Once costs and damages have been determined, the insurance company will provide the coverage.

There may possibly be a dispute over repair charges. An insurance company has the right to send a claims adjustor to inspect the damaged car before it is repaired or disposed of. If you don’t have insurance, a rental company can make repairs without an inspection.
It is important to be aware that if you are not adequately covered, you may incur some expenses. Some rental car agreements may require that one reimburses for the full value of the car. You should check to make sure you have the appropriate coverage. As well, some agreements require immediate reimbursement for damages, so they may immediately charge your credit card.

There may be other expenses that you are not covered for that can include: administrative fees, towing expenses, storage fees, and inspection and appraisal fees. It is important to read the fine print of your insurance policy to make sure you are comfortable with your coverage.

Purchasing the right insurance for a rental car can make all the difference if you suddenly find yourself in a potentially expensive car accident. When you pick up your car from the car rental company, make sure you inspect the exterior for damage. Being prepared will provide you with peace of mind when you are on the road. In the event of an accident, it will be a lot less stressful if you know exactly what steps have to be taken to settle any damages.

Avoid hassles when dealing with car rentals. Get truck rental quotes quickly and easily.

So you’re finally nestled into a cramped but adequate seat after a ten-hour flight delay in Denver. This, after a ten-day business trip. Your greatest wish at this point is to sit back, listen to some music and return to the comforts of home. The magic button reclines your seat at a finger’s request, you snuggle into the extra pillows already delivered by the accommodating flight attendant and start up your MP3 player, expecting the genius of Bach, only to find…silence. "What? What’s happening here?" you ask, prying your eyes open and jiggling the offending apparatus. You give it the customary, utterly useless smack across the top. At long last, you open the battery compartment to find it…empty.

Auto manufacturers can sympathize. It turns out the shortage of certain hybrid cars these days is related to finding batteries. According to a magazine article, automakers have been experiencing an acute shortage of what is commonly referred to in the industry as "NiMH" batteries or the rechargeable batteries on which most hybrids depend. Sales of the top-selling hybrid actually dropped in May not due to lack of demand but because the automaker simply ran out of vehicles to sell. Automakers across the board are experiencing similar problems. At least one automaker may even go so far as to negotiate the purchase of a major battery subsidiary.

Hybrid sales are only expected to increase. Major automakers are adjusting production to add shifts for the production of smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles. More production changes appear to be on the horizon to meet the demand of citizens eager for fuel efficiency in their vehicles.

Battery production solutions are being sought, such as increasing the types of batteries capable of powering hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs). Currently, the market is limited to two classifications of batteries capable of running HEVs: NiMH batteries and those with a chemical slurry of nickel metal hydride. In the future, however, lithium-ion batteries could also potentially run HEVs, thereby adding flexibility and increasing battery production opportunities.

Lithium-ion batteries have been around for some time. Most people are probably more familiar with their smaller versions. They’re often seen in laptops, electronic equipment and rechargeable battery kits designed for the average consumer. Lithium-ion batteries are not only more powerful, but, for the larger applications, they’re also lighter and smaller than their counterparts.

A major Japanese manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries has recently claimed to have produced a model with an output density of 3,500 watts per kilogram and 3.7 volts. That’s about twice the density output of NiMH batteries and three times the voltage. More power equals fewer cells. Fewer cells equals less weight and less room. Less weight and less room equals even higher fuel economy.

The Japanese company, now teaming up with a European automaker to produce next-generation lithium-ion batteries predicts global sales of hybrids to reach three million per year by 2010. Provided the batteries are feasible, this could be a great boost to companies producing popular HEV models, as well as those looking to develop even more advanced versions.

Current hybrid models are designed for NiMH batteries, not lithium-ion batteries, however. Automakers will work to meet yet another challenge when it comes to equipping their vehicles for this "next generation." Battery pack manufacturers for the auto industry are beginning to produce lithium-ion vehicle battery pack systems. The best of them have reusable building block technologies, can accommodate a range of voltages, have systems that maintain the health of the battery cells and are applicable to mild hybrids, full hybrids or electric vehicles. These battery packs may make more efficient vehicles available in the hybrid market very soon.

As the name would suggest, fully comprehensive motorcycle insurance provides the policy holder with the greatest amount of cover motorcycle insurance can offer. From involvement in an accident to theft of the motorcycle from a place of work, a fully comprehensive insurance policy offers the greatest peace of mind for any motorcyclist.

The main benefit this motorcycle insurance type has over other levels of cover is that it protects the policy holder in the event of an accident and not just for any claims made against them from a Third Party.

Therefore if an accident occurs and both parties are injured, the insurance company will not only pay out for any Third Party claims, but also for any claim made by the policy holder themselves.

Furthermore, the claims made by the policy holder can be expansive, including everything from repairs to their motorcycle, or if the motorcycle is a write off, it full market value price, to personal injury. This alone is one of the primary reasons why a fully comprehensive policy is better than other policies, as whilst a great deal of people choose third party, fire and theft motorcycle insurance over fully comprehensive, it does not cover for any claims made by and for the policy holder.

This means that should they be involved in an accident and need to claim for repairs or personal injury, they cannot do so and may be left with a large bill for repairs to their motorcycle.

A further benefit of fully comprehensive motorcycle insurance is simply the amount of extras or bonuses that are regularly offered with the policy. For example, a large amount of companies offer European breakdown cover with all of their fully comprehensive insurance policies. Purchased separately and this can cost a substantial amount.

However, choose an appropriate policy and the policy holder could be riding around Europe, fully insured in the event of an accident and fully covered should they break down or come into difficulties with their motorcycle.

One of the other additions that is often added to completely comprehensive policies is accessories cover. Only a small amount of people purchase this type of insurance separately, as most simply do not know it exists. Accessories cover provides the policy holder with complete protection should any damage be caused to their helmet, leathers or gloves.

Monies will be paid out if the items are repairable upon production of receipts, or if they are irreparable, a set amount of money will be allocated for the purchase of new accessories. In most cases, irreparable damage also constitutes theft, assuming the full and proper measures have been put in place to reduce the risk of theft taking place.

Although there are two other levels of motorcycle insurance available, fully comprehensive is without doubt the most beneficial to the owner. Furthermore, whilst it may generally be the more expensive, if the policy holder has to claim on their insurance for repairs to their motorcycle, the additional amount for the policy will be worth it when compared to the price of the repairs.

How many pretty new vehicles that were in great shape inside and out that were flooded have been repaired and put on the market to sell in used car lots or by the individuals that owned them? The numbers could well be many more than you would think. So how would you know that a used car you are considering buying could have been damaged by a flood?

There are some tell tale signs that you might be able to notice such as looking closely underneath the dash board for evidence of mud that was missed during clean up. Look closely around doors and the under carriage for signs of corrosion or rust. Be wary if the price seems just a little too good to be true. Many times used cars can be made to sound great when they are started, but that great sounding engine could only last a short time.

Vehicles that have been flooded can be dangerous to drive and can even be hazardous to your health if they have been heavily contaminated by bacteria and mold. You might very well be able to notice a musty or damp smell in a car that has been flooded by water. If you notice that smell, the seller might say it is because the carpets and upholstery were recently cleaned and this might be the truth. This could be one of those warning signs.

If you have any indication that a vehicle you are looking to purchase might have been flooded, electrical disorders it could have might not be something that is easily identified. You should have the electrical system checked out by an unbiased mechanic before you finalize the deal just to be on the safe side. You should usually always have any car checked out by an unbiased mechanic anyway even if you do not suspect water damage.

Do not expect that a car dealer or an individual will be honest with you about a car that has been flooded. This is not to say that some dealers and individuals would blatantly lie to you, it is just that it can be so easy for them to avoid giving you more information than you ask for. For some people making the all mighty dollar is their bottom line even if you end up being stuck with a vehicle that might only get you a few miles down the road. Do not let yourself be taken advantage of just because you were too trusting.

At the heart of defensive driving is a driver’s ability to anticipate situations, including the mistakes of other drivers, especially during less-than-ideal driving conditions.

You may be an excellent driver and a master of road rules, but there’s nothing like a basic knowledge of defensive driving to minimize risks on the road.

Here are six of the most important defensive driving techniques:

1. Let other drivers know of your intentions early
Sudden stops, turns and lane changes often lead to accidents because they catch other drivers by surprise. Hence, one of the basic rules of defensive driving is to clearly communicate to other drivers exactly what you are about to do. For this reason, it is crucial that your brake lights, head lights, signal indicators and other driving lights are working. If they are not, have them checked right away. Otherwise, defensive driving is not an option.

2. Being predictable helps
Having all your indicators in good working order is great, but they won’t help much if you can’t be predictable. Defensive driving is synonymous with being predictable – you do what you’re expected to do. If you’re signaling a left turn, then make a left turn. Don’t signal that you’re going left then suddenly turn right. And, by no means, don’t keep signaling a left or right turn then just going straight ahead for miles and miles. In defensive driving, one never makes a move that confuses other drivers on the road. Surprises are great, but never when you’re driving.

3. Know where you want to go
The first rule of defensive driving is: know where you want to go. There’s nothing quite as dangerous as making a sudden turn or stop, which is something that drivers do when they are not sure about where they are headed. Ditto for driving slowly then suddenly zooming fast. If you’re confused about where you you want to go, you’re probably confusing other people on the road as well. If you’re lost, park your car and regain your bearings. Check a map or street directory or maybe even ask someone for directions. The worst thing you can do is drive around aimlessly. That’s like looking for trouble with a capital T.

4. Make signaling a habit
One of the best defensive driving techniques is to signal every time you turn or change lanes. That way, you never catch other drivers by surprise. Make signaling a habit. Even if the road appears to be deserted and there seem to be no other vehicles around, signaling your intent is always an excellent defensive driving practice.

5. Warn others as you stop or slow down
When making a full stop or slowing down for whatever reason, it’s a good defensive driving technique to let other drivers know of your intention. You can do this by tapping the brake pedal a couple of times so that your brake lights flash and clue in others behind you that you are slowing down or stopping. This is especially important if the driver behind you is driving fast and approaching quickly.

6. Try to anticipate the worst in others
It may sound cynical and ‘s not a good rule to follow in life but, in defensive driving, it pays to anticipate the mistakes of other drivers on the road. For instance, many drivers routinely signal a turn but don’t turn at all. Meanwhile, others don’t signal at all and then suddenly turn. Many people disregard stop signals or try to run red traffic lights so keep a watchful eye out for these instances.

Serg Caro. So, don’t forget that a basic knowledge of Defensive Driving helps drivers substantially minimize risks on the road. Please feel free to ask questions concerning vehicle insurance at Car Insurance forum.
